Troubleshooting Guide

My screen is blank or my camera is not being recognized by Rock Your T-shirt

Rock Your T-shirt uses Adobe Flash Player to connect to your web camera. If your web camera is not working, it is often because the Flash Player needs to be adjusted to recognized your camera. Sometimes this occurs from connecting a digital video camera or another input source.

To connect your web camera to the Flash Player, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Rock Your T-shirt home page. In the middle of the page is the picture taking widget that uses Flash. Right-click on the widget. For those using a one-button mouse, press the Control key while clicking the widget. Choose Settings... from the context menu.

  2. A dialog appears for controlling the Adobe Flash Player. Click the Camera tab. Click the source drop down menu and choose the name of your web camera. If you are unsure, try each one and when you see your camera working, you're good to go!

I'm on GNU/Linux, is there any hope?

  1. Pat yourself on the back, at least you don't have a Windoze machine.
  2. Try Flashcam + vloopback.
  3. If that doesn't work, lobby Adobe to support V4L2.
